In order to offer more future leaders the opportunity to fulfil their potential, the Foundation will ensure that its scholarships and bursaries are available to a broader and more diverse spectrum of students.

The goal is for more African leaders to emerge from the GSB who have benefited from a world-class MBA programme and who can make valuable contributions in the positions they take up later in their career.

The GSB MBA is an internationally accredited programme and recognised as a top MBA programme on the continent. It is founded on:

    • The GSB Values: a passion for learning, innovation and enquiry, personal growth and development, and collaboration
    • The GSB Mission: academic and pedagogical excellence, social relevance and thought leadership

Candidates for GSB Foundation scholarships and bursaries will be selected according to stringent criteria, including, but not limited to, being considered by the GSB’s independent academic selection committee.

Aware of the context in South Africa, the Foundation’s mentorship role will start early on, ahead of the application process. For example, the Foundation will help identify the most talented candidates and coach them as they make their academic applications.
